Beschrijving van de verkoper

Mick Jagger, London, 1977
Silver Gelatine print on Baryta Archival paper, signed, Size 49,5 x 64,5 cm, with Passpartout 50 x 70 cm

Shipped carefully packed.

I once said that you really have to be a bad photographer not to take a good picture of Mick Jagger. This is after an interview in London for music newspaper OOR. Although I always made it a point to photograph throughout the interview, that wasn't in the cards this time. The 'shoot' lasted less than five minutes.

Gijsbert Hanekroot (Brussels, 1945) began his career in 1969 and worked for magazines and newspapers in the 1970s. His career as a photojournalist fit perfectly with the explosion of the rock scene. He masterfully documented the golden age of music history and photographed many of the greatest icons of the era. Hanekroot strove to capture images that revealed the person behind the musician. This resulted in portraits that are natural and intimate, relaxed and sincere. And in dazzling concert photographs.
The photographer is represented by Blitz Gallery, Tokyo, Blue Lotus Gallery, Hong Kong, Mondo Galeria, Madrid, Proud Galleries, London and ONO-Arte, Bologna, Dots Gallery Belgrade, Loft Gallery Munich among others.
