A gorgeous, stylish, low bobbin chair with cane seat (in superb order).

This chair is all original , and in excellent condition .
It was made by english master craftsmen in the late 1800s. It is likely oak or stained beech.

The chair shows features of the Victorian period (late 19th century) and is sometimes associated with the William & Mary revival.

The chair has a beautiful patine. The backrest features vertical, bobbin-turned spindles and an elegant, scalloped top rail making this a really pretty and unique piece.

Similar antique chairs were produced in the late 19th century by well-known makers such as Bowen & Mallon in London.

This type of chair was often used as an occasional chair, a side chair in a hallway, or in a smaller version as a nursery chair.
