Key Design Features
• The Bezel: Features Breitling’s signature unidirectional rotating bezel with four raised "rider tabs" (at the 15, 30, 45, and 60 marks). These tabs were originally designed to make the bezel easier to grip while wearing flight gloves.
• The Dial (GMT Function): The black dial has a circular-guilloché texture and features a dual-time zone (GMT) complication. The extra hand with the red triangular tip points to the inner 24-hour scale, allowing the wearer to track a second time zone.
• Numerals & Markings: It uses large, luminous Arabic numerals for high legibility. Below the 12 o'clock position, you can see the winged Breitling logo, and the text confirms it is a "Chronometre" (COSC certified) and water-resistant to 500m/1650ft—an impressive depth rating for a non-diver specific watch.
• Case & Bracelet: The watch is made of high-polish stainless steel and is paired with a Professional II bracelet, known for its slanted, three-link design that provides a very distinct "Breitling look."

Historical Context
The Colt collection was originally developed for military use before becoming a mainstay in Breitling’s civilian catalog. While many GMT watches (like the Rolex GMT-Master) use a rotating 24-hour bezel, the Colt GMT keeps the 24-hour scale on the dial, using the bezel instead for elapsed time—making it a hybrid between a pilot's watch and a diver.
