Beschrijving van de verkoper
Belangrijke set van drie massieve zilveren champagnekoelers – Milaan, begin 20e eeuw (ca. 1910–1920)
Magnificent and rare set of three solid silver champagne coolers, produced in Milan in the early 20th century, around 1910–1920.
These pieces show exceptional craftsmanship typical of the great Milanese silversmith tradition, at a time when Milan was one of the most important Italian centres for luxury silver production.
The surfaces are richly decorated with deep repoussé and chased ornamentation, featuring elegant:
• bloemmotieven
• krullend loof
• Neoclassical decorative elements
• verfijnde Liberty (Italiaanse Art Nouveau) invloeden zoals typerend voor de periode.
The sculptural ring handles and the elegant proportions give these champagne coolers a particularly impressive and luxurious presence.
The set consists of:
• twee hoge champagnekoelers
• eén grote champagnekom op sokkel
Each piece displays finely worked relief decoration with remarkable attention to detail and strong artistic character.
The objects come from the estate of a wealthy Milanese family, where they were preserved for generations.
