Prachtig goud-blond mahoniehouten kabinet
Uit de Louis XVI periode, rond 1775.
Het hout is vakkundig gepolitoerd, dit is een tijdrovende en kostbare bewerking
waarbij schellak met een tampon door draaiende beweging minutieus werd aangebracht.
Schellak is een natuurproduct.
Hierdoor ontstaat een prachtige diepe glans en het hout lijkt wel een gepolijst mineraal.

Het is een classicistische stijl, ontleend aan de klassieke Romeinse oudheid.
In deze tijd werd de Romeinse Oudheid weer herontdekt en welgestelde mensen gingen
uitgebreid als toerist rijzen door Italie om de kunst en architectuur te bewonderen.

De onderkast heeft drie grote lades, die makkelijk schuiven.
De vorm is ‘enkel gebogen’, boven recht en naar onder toe gebogen uitlopend.
Het interieur is mooi en uitgebreid.
Ook heel praktisch met veel opbergmogelijkheden.
Meerdere legplanken en 5 kleine lades allemaal belijmd met rood mahonie.
Elegante taps toelopende poten.

De bovenkast kan uit elkaar zodat het meubel makkelijk vervoerd kan worden.
De hoogte tot aan de kroonlijst is 212 cm met het midden ornament mee 234 cm.

The wood has been expertly French polished ( politour) — a time-consuming and costly technique in which shellac is meticulously applied using a pad in circular motions.
Shellac is a natural product.
This process results in a beautiful deep gloss, making the wood resemble polished mineral.
It is a classicist style, inspired by ancient Roman antiquity.

The lower cabinet features three large drawers that slide smoothly.
The shape is "single curved", straight at the top and elegantly bowed towards the bottom.
The interior is refined and extensive.
Also very practical, with ample storage space.
Multiple shelves and five small drawers, all veneered in red mahogany.

The upper part can be taken apart, making the piece easy to transport.
