¶ Trophies by David Sylvian is a collection lyrics compiled into a book both beautiful as almost romantic in appearance.
Sylvian (born 1958 as David Alan Batt) was the main front man in the 1970's and early 80’s British band 'Japan', a new wave group with a distinctive avant-garde style. After the band split up in 1982 Sylvian started a solo career and had several albums such as 'Brilliant trees', 'Words with the shaman', 'Gone to earth', 'Secrets of the beehive', and dozens more to date. His long-time collaborations include several musicians and artists such as Yuka Fujii, Robert Fripp, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Holger Czukay, Steve Jansen, Keith Lowe, Takuma Watanabe and many more.
The career of this versatile avant-garde musician testifies to the many musical styles he has explored over 5 decades: art pop, new wave, ambient pop
*** Rare and sought after ***
