Ceramiczna rzeźbiarska kubek – Sugiura Yasuyoshi – naczynie botaniczne - Ceramika, Glina - Japonia - okres Showa / Heisei

This is an exceptional sculptural ceramic vessel created by the renowned Japanese ceramic artist Sugiura Yasuyoshi (born 1949). Known for his botanical and geological aesthetics, Sugiura transforms natural forms—such as fruit skins, seed pods, and mineral layers—into highly detailed ceramic artworks. The surface displays his distinctive multi-layered color pattern, combining soft reds, greens, and earthy tones in a rhythmic zigzag motif. Subtle gold accents emphasize the organic contours, giving the piece a sense of natural growth and movement. This vessel is hand-built, not wheel-thrown. Its asymmetrical form and textured clay body reflect Sugiura’s philosophy of embracing natural irregularity. Rather than functioning as a utilitarian container, the work is intended as a contemporary ceramic art object, bridging ceramics, sculpture, and natural observation. The piece is signed by the artist. Its intimate size, refined texture, and sculptural presence make it ideal for collectors of Japanese contemporary ceramics. Condition: Excellent — no chips, cracks, repairs, or restorations. Dimensions: • Height: 10 cm • Maximum width: 7 cm • Base diameter: approx. 3 cm Origin: Japan Material: Ceramic, clay, glaze Period: After 2000 A refined example of Sugiura’s botanical ceramic expression.
