Wazon - Brązowy - Japonia - Rzadki japoński brąz

are Japanese Bronze Sculptural Vase with Noh-Inspired Relief Late Meiji to Early Taisho period (circa 1900) This rare Japanese bronze vessel dates from the late Meiji to early Taisho period, approximately 100–120 years ago. Cast in solid bronze (copper alloy), the piece should be regarded as a work of decorative art rather than a purely functional vase. The body is richly adorned with a deeply carved relief inspired by traditional Japanese Noh theatre. A serene long-haired figure holding a fan is depicted alongside symbolic elements such as pine trees, rocks, and flowing water — motifs closely associated with the spiritual and aesthetic world of Noh. The relief carving displays notable depth and refinement, reflecting the high level of Japanese metalworking craftsmanship of the period. A particularly distinctive and rare feature is the tripod base, supported by three finely modeled child figures (karako-style). Such elaborate figural tripod supports are seldom encountered and significantly enhance the sculptural and collectible value of the piece. The surface retains a well-developed natural patina formed over decades, providing depth and warmth to the bronze and clearly attesting to its age. According to the previous owner, the object was discovered in an old family storehouse (kura), where it had been preserved for generations. Comparable sculptural bronze vessels combining theatrical iconography, figural supports, and substantial casting are rarely encountered on the open market. Works of this quality were typically produced in limited numbers and often remained in private collections rather than being widely circulated. This piece represents an ambitious and refined example of Japanese decorative metalwork from the turn of the 20th century and would make an excellent addition to a serious collection of Japanese art or sculptural decorative objects. Material: Bronze (copper alloy) Origin: Japan Period: Late Meiji to Early Taisho period (circa 1900–1920) Dimensions: Height: 23 cm Width: 15 cm Depth: 15 cm Weight: 1,572 g
