You are bidding here on a pair of sculptural bubble wall lamps designed by Helena Tynell for Limburg Glashütte, which are in a good / very good vintage condition for its age. These iconic Mid-Century Modern sconces are made of thick, hand-blown clear glass composed of organic bubble-like forms that create a striking play of light and shadow. A timeless design object and a sought-after collector’s piece of European design history. SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS: Limburg Glashütte, founded in Germany in 1947, was renowned for its high-quality architectural and decorative glass lighting, widely used in both private and public interiors. Helena Tynell (1918–2016), one of the most important Scandinavian glass designers of the 20th century, is celebrated for her expressive, sculptural approach to glass, combining craftsmanship with bold, modern forms. SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS: * made in Germany in 60-70’ * Brand Limburg Glashütte designed by Helena Tynell * Silver aluminium, clear bubble glass * Measurements: approx. 18x24 cm * Please watch carefully all the pictures, they are also a part of description ( each one can be enlarged ) * I would like to point out that the items I am selling are several decades old and therefore show general signs of use and age, such as minor scratches, scuffs, discoloration, dust, patina, chips, dents etc. - Any major damage -s is / are ALWAYS shown in the photos - * Please remember about Catawiki’s rules and make a payment maximally within 3 days after auction end The lamps will be properly prepared for the shipping ( mainly recycled materials ) and sent insured ( up to 500€ ). IMPORTANT: If, however, the item is damaged or lost, please contact me via the internal Catawiki chat. According to EU law for courier companies, in any case of damage to an international shipment, the first step in obtaining compensation is for the RECIPIENT to report the damage to their local supplier within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Only then, after the RECIPENT ( you ) receives a certificate of damage, I as the sender can claim compensation. In addition, the following photos will be required: the damage to the item, the outside of the box with the shipping label, and the inside of the box including the materials used to protect the shipment.
