Inscription LAUDET IESUS CHRISTUS on the obverse and symbols Alpha and Omega. Shield with the Chi-Rho monogram on the reverse. Good condition with normal signs of use and age. Founded in 1926, promoted by Cardinals Reig and Casanova and Herrera Oria. In 1931, it established its first bases and organization as a league of lay people for the defense of the rights of the Church. During the Civil War, it became the ultra-Catholic and conservative organization that sympathized with Franco's military uprising and supported him throughout the war. The Catholic Action Youth joined militias in the early stages of the uprising, such as the Popular Action Youth, Spanish Renewal, Albiñana's Legionaries, and the Requetés. Like all pro-Franco militias, in 1937 they came under the control of the Spanish Falange (FET de las JONS). They considered the civil war a purifying stage and the immediate postwar period the opportunity to fully and completely recatholicize Spain under National Catholicism.
