The examined artifact is a bronze ring attributable to the Viking Age (circa 9th–11th century AD) based on its form, material, and runic decoration. The ring measures approximately 21 mm and weighs 6.96 grams. The symbols engraved on the bezel correspond to characters from the Elder Futhark runic alphabet, the earliest runic writing system used in Northern Europe. In Viking culture, runes served not only as written signs but also as apotropaic, magical, and identity-related symbols. The grooved ornamentation along the band is characteristic of early medieval Scandinavian metalwork. The observed natural patina, micro-wear, and oxidation patterns indicate prolonged use and burial, consistent with an authentic Viking-period artifact. Overall, this ring represents a genuine and highly collectible archaeological object, reflecting personal belief, status, and symbolic expression in the Viking world.
