Ponte City by Mikhael Subotzky and Patrick Waterhouse is an ambitious photobook that explores one of Johannesburg’s most iconic and controversial buildings. Through photographs, archival material, and collected documents, the book examines the history of the Ponte City tower and the lives of its residents. The project combines portraits, architectural views, and typologies of doors, windows, and television screens to reveal both the physical structure and the personal stories within it.
