Opis od sprzedawcy

1805 Utrecht Gold Ducat (Dukaat)

Struck during the final days of the Batavian Republic, this 1805 gold ducat is a premier artifact of Napoleonic-era trade. Known as the "Knight Ducat," these coins were the international gold standard of the 19th century. Renowned for their near-perfect purity, they traveled from Dutch merchant ships to the furthest reaches of the East Indies.

The 1805 issue is a historical "bridge" piece, minted just before the Netherlands became a Kingdom under Napoleon’s brother. It features the iconic armored knight clutching seven arrows—a symbol of provincial unity—reminding collectors of the Dutch Republic’s enduring economic power even under the shadow of French occupation.
