Secesja Witraż - 1910-1920 - 61x72 cm/ 4,3 kg

Antique ecclesiastical stained-glass church window in oak frame – Belgium, 1910s – salvaged from Verviers church – In excellent condition – No reserve. This pane is absolutely crack-free. The lines you see are not breaks, but are integral part of the hand-blown glass. A highly atmospheric early 20th-century stained-glass church window panel, dating to the 1910s, mounted in a beautifully crafted solid oak display frame finished in rich French polish. The elegant pointed Gothic-arch silhouette, combined with the vivid geometric composition in turquoise, amber yellow, soft pink and opaline cream tones, gives this piece exceptional decorative presence. What makes this example especially desirable is its documented provenance: it originates from the inventory of a church in Verviers, Belgium, cleared following the severe 2024 floodings. This gives the object not only visual beauty, but also authentic historical and cultural significance as a preserved fragment of Belgian ecclesiastical heritage. The glass itself is entirely hand-cut and hand-leaded, with the visible lines being the original artisanal cut. They are not cracks! The pane is absolutely crack-free, a rare condition advantage for a stained-glass panel of this age and scale. As expected from authentic period glass, the surface shows beautiful air bubbles, slight waves and natural irregularities, all highly appreciated characteristics that confirm its handcrafted origin and give the colors remarkable liveliness in changing light. Mounted in its custom oak stand/frame, it is immediately ready for display in an interior, against a window, or as a collector’s statement piece in an Art Nouveau, Gothic Revival or ecclesiastical design setting. Historical context: Around the 1900–1915 period, many Belgian and French church workshops produced decorative geometric stained-glass windows that bridged late Art Nouveau elegance with Gothic Revival architecture. The restrained abstract patterning and luminous hand-blown glass seen here are very characteristic of this refined transitional period. Condition Absolutely break-free No cracks or restorations Original bubbles and irregularities in the hand-made glass Oak frame in great condition with some minor traces of age with warm French-polished finish Ready to place and display Dimensions 61 x 72 x 4 cm (height x width x depth) Weight: 4.3 kg A rare chance to acquire a genuine church-salvaged Belgian stained-glass panel with strong provenance, superb colors and exceptional display impact—the kind of one-off architectural fragment that immediately elevates a serious collection. In excellent condition – No reserve.
