About the artist: Magdalena Borkowska-Bogusz (Poland, b. 1989) graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (diploma 2015), although painting has become her primary means of expression. In her portraits she combines a realist technique with a restrained, unhurried narrative — stories told through gaze, gesture, and a single symbolic detail.
