This is an exquisitely crafted Japanese iron tsuba (sword guard).
The tsuba features a three-dimensional basket motif along with bamboo and flowers, creating an elegant and refined Japanese design. The basket portion is meticulously carved, and delicate plant patterns adorn the surrounding area.
