Up for auction today is a Bonneville Flute made in Paris, France. Auguste Adrien Bonneville opened his Parisian workshop in 1876 after working closely with legendary French makers like Clair Godfroy and Louis Lot. The workshop was celebrated for creating flutes with an exceptionally warm, rich "French glow" and slightly larger embouchure holes that offered incredible projection compared to its contemporaries. Serial number 3999 dates to the post-retirement era of the firm, built during the period when the workshop was managed under the lineage of the Bonneville family in Paris. This is a rare piece of French flute-making history, highly sought after by collectors and vintage instrument specialists! Condition: The flute is in good condition considering its age. clear signs of previous use. The instrument will need a full overhaul to be in pristine playing condition. Please note that this instrument has not been serviced or maintained recently and will be sold as-is, making it suitable for restoration or parts.
