This volume contains works created during Ryudai Takano's formative years between 1993 and 1996.

Among them, his early landmark series **"ca.ra.ma.ru."** ("to become entangled") captures moments in which nude bodies intertwine through free, unstructured movement. Rather than presenting the nude as an erotic subject, the series quietly explores themes of human relationships, human existence, gender, and sexuality through the body itself.

These photographs already embody the essential themes that would later define Takano's artistic career.

** Ryudai Takano (born in Fukui Prefecture in 1963) began exhibiting his work in 1994. In 2006, he received the 31st Kimura Ihei Award for his photobook *IN MY ROOM* (Sokyusha), establishing himself as one of Japan's leading contemporary photographers.
