Hanging Glass Whale – Silent Guardian of the Ocean

"The ocean speaks softly to those who know how to listen."

Inspired by the quiet majesty of the world's largest marine creatures, this handcrafted hanging glass whale embodies peace, wisdom, and the timeless rhythm of the sea. Floating gently upon the wall, it brings a sense of calm and serenity while inviting the beauty of the ocean into your home.

Created by Maciej Habrat, a Polish glass artist with over twenty years of experience, each whale is individually handcrafted using the traditional glass fusing technique. Layers of opal and transparent glass are kiln-fused into a single sculptural form, creating rich textures, delicate air bubbles, and luminous surfaces that interact beautifully with changing light.

The graceful silhouette reflects the quiet strength of the whale—a symbol of harmony, resilience, and a deep connection with nature. As daylight changes, the sculpture comes alive with shifting reflections and subtle transparency, creating the impression of gentle movement beneath the ocean's surface.

Beautiful as a single piece, the collection becomes truly captivating when displayed together. Available in different sizes and swimming directions, the whales can be arranged into a graceful pod, creating a striking wall composition full of movement and harmony. Together they transform an ordinary wall into an elegant ocean-inspired work of art.

Mounted on a discreet metal wall spacer, the sculpture appears to float slightly away from the wall, creating a subtle three-dimensional effect enhanced by natural light and shadow.

Installation is simple, and each whale is supplied with clear wall-mounting instructions.

Every sculpture is individually handmade. Small air bubbles and slight variations in colour, texture, and internal glass patterns are natural characteristics of the fusing process, ensuring that every piece is entirely unique.
