The sculpture stands as a solid yet luminous presence, its surface carrying soft variations of tone that shift gently with daylight. At its heart is a partial void. As the sun moves, this becomes a living element: sometimes brightly lit, sometimes a diffused glow or a perfect circle of shadow. Radiating etchings extend outward from this central void, carved in fine, deliberate lines. They don’t mimic sunbeams literally; instead, they suggest expansion, warmth, and the quiet force of energy. These etched lines catch light differently throughout the day, creating subtle highlights and shadows that animate the surface. Cut‑outs along the sides break the mass of the stone, adding depth and rhythm. They give the sculpture a layered quality. Both grounded and open, this sculpture is about welcoming light.
