A highly exclusive and exceptionally rare Demerara rum. Albion Estate, once located in the historic Demerara region, closed in the 1960s, making original Albion production a thing of the past. Today, the Albion style survives only through Diamond Distillery’s AN mark, produced according to the old estate specifications — a direct link to a lost distilling tradition. The Albion profile is unmistakably heavy and dark: licorice, coffee, bitter chocolate, dried fruits, caramel and deep wooden notes, with a drier, less fruity character than other Diamond marks. It is one of the most distinctive and historically important styles in the entire Demerara canon. Only very few casks are ever released in this profile, which makes Albion one of the most sought‑after marks among collectors. This particular bottle was released by Velier in 2011, after 17 years of full tropical ageing, resulting in a concentrated, powerful expression of the Albion heritage.
