Glass Black Bird – A Touch of Character in Glass
Simple in form yet full of personality, this handcrafted glass bird brings a quiet elegance with a playful twist. Its deep black body, accented with vibrant flashes of colour, creates a striking contrast that catches the light beautifully while remaining timeless and understated.
Each piece is handcrafted using the glass fusing technique by Maciej Habrat, a Polish artist with over 20 years of experience. Created from layers of opal and transparent glass, every bird is individually shaped during the firing process, making each one unique in its colour patterns and subtle details.
Whether displayed on a shelf, windowsill, or desk, it adds a modern artistic accent and a sense of warmth to any interior. A small glass sculpture that effortlessly combines simplicity, craftsmanship, and charm.

Maciej Habrat Atelier was founded in 1997 in Krosno, Poland. All glass works are designed and hand-made in a fusing technique by him. Maciej graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland-the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass. His style is easily recognized in many galleries around the world and some glass objects were exhibited in the Corning Museum of Glass, USA.
TV ARTE has released a documentarty about the family company and every year during the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt Maciej's masterpieces allure with colors and forms.
