"Blooming garden" by Sviatlana Petushkova is a striking, contemporary homage to the exuberant vitality of nature. Set against a bold, warm terracotta background, this vertical artwork immediately commands attention with its rich warmth and rhythmic energy. Rising across the canvas are soft, cloud-like floral clusters rendered in a lively tapestry of blush pinks, corals, fresh chartreuse greens, and deep indigo accents. The piece exudes warmth, optimism, and the tactile essence of a sun-drenched summer garden. Technique & Texture: This artwork highlights Sviatlana Petushkova’s expressive mastery of mixed media. A smooth, opaque acrylic underpainting provides a solid, matte, earth-toned backdrop. Over this surface, the artist applies short, energetic, impressionistic hatchings of artist-grade oil pastel. These layered, tactile strokes build up a rich physical texture that catches the light and gives the impression of flowers shimmering and moving softly in the breeze.
