An exceptional pair of large figurines depicting two Hungarian dancers in their traditional costumes. Although they are unsigned, they are most likely of French manufacture and were originally two lamp bases. They are in good condition, although there are some minor touch-ups to the paintwork and a tassel is missing from the base of the female figurine. These are highly decorative pieces of unique perfection and beauty, featuring various touches of gold paint. Height of both: 29 cm. Weight: 2.8 kg.
