The Apollo Ascot in the full brogue Oxford style is a testament to traditional craftsmanship, reaching its perfection in this special edition limited to 1,000 pairs.
This specific pair, bearing the individual number 207, features a deep black calfskin leather whose structure stands out for its exceptional smoothness and uniformity.
The classic lyra perforation underlines the architectural clarity of the shoe, which was shaped on an anatomically precise last.
Back then, the workshop recorded, with a clarity that feels almost nostalgic today, the philosophy that served as the invisible foundation for these one thousand pairs:
"You belong to the select circle of gentlemen who wear one of thousand pairs of shoes that cannot be made better or more finely by hand.
We have chosen the finest materials and the most elaborate workmanship to present you with unique footwear.
With the utmost precision, we selected the most beautiful among the finest calfskin leathers for your shoes.
Quality, care, perfection – dedicated to this high standard, a master shoemaker has created by hand, in 321 steps, what stands before you.
After the upper leather pieces were meticulously stitched to the leather lining, the upper rested for several weeks on the last, which precisely replicates the natural shape of the foot.
In temperature-controlled rooms with ideal humidity, the upper assumed its permanent and final shape.
The upper, anatomically pre-shaped insole, midsole, and outsole were welted with several hundred stitches, according to the process developed by Charles Goodyear Jr.
This construction method is the most durable, stable, and expensive of all.
You will feel – indeed, enjoy – the effort invested here with every step.
Once all parts were processed with masterly skill, the finishing began.
In several dozen operations, the shoe was washed with soap, and the leather was treated centimeter by centimeter with genuine sea sponge, natural waxes, and fats.
This procedure took several days, as the shoe required repeated periods of rest.
Upon completion of the work and conscientious inspection of the product, the master signed and numbered his successful creation."
