*The box.* Printed wood-grain cardboard, stapled, with a paper label reading SAPPORO OLYMPIC '72 in red above a ski jumper and mountains. A small label reads 証紙 beside the green 72 SAPPORO rings emblem and 財団法人スポーツ振興資金財団.
Condition as visible in the photographs: the glaze has slight yellowing and a few tiny dark specks; no chips or cracks are seen in the photographs. The box is worn, with creased and torn paper at the edges and the top, and a worn label.
