Original artwork by Petrit Markaj, a contemporary Franco-Kosovar artist known for his expressive exploration of the human condition. This striking composition presents a powerful monochrome David Bowie portrait enriched with vibrant turquoise and yellow graphic elements. The work integrates multilingual text (Japanese and French), symbolic figures, and recurring question marks, creating a layered visual narrative around identity, belief, and introspection. The central gesture of silence (Shh) gives the piece a strong emotional presence, while the fusion of figurative portraiture with urban and pop-art influences reflects Markaj’s diverse artistic language. Unlike his classical oil paintings, this work belongs to a more contemporary, street-art influenced approach, combining raw expression with graphic symbolism. • Artist: Petrit Markaj, born 1973 • Title: Untitled • Medium: Mixed media (acrylic, paint markers) on canvas • Signature: Hand-signed (right side) • Condition: Excellent condition • Dimensions: 120 cm x 120 cm x 2 cm A unique original artwork, ideal for collectors of contemporary and urban art, and a bold statement piece for modern interiors.
