A fine Ancient Roman bronze antoninianus of Probus. The obverse features the radiate bust of Probus facing left, wearing imperial mantle and holding a sceptre surmounted by eagle. The legend reads PROBVS PF AVG. The reverse features Roma seated in a hexastyle temple, holding Victory and a sceptre. The legend ROMAE AETER encircles the image. Mintmark R-thunderbolt-Δ in the exergue. Ref: RIC 187.
