KingJim DaVinci DV55 1990 One of First Aparat cyfrowy

In 1991 the first consumer digital cameras, which could be hooked up to a personal computer, appeared on the market. For the USA it was the Dycam Model 1 and for Europe the Logitech Fotoman FM-1. But even before that the ominous, mysterious KingJim DaVince DV55 digital camera with built-in thermal paper printer appeared on the market. Yes, a true milestone and the first one ever with a built-in printer. Long before Olympus presented the C-211 or Polaroid had anything remotely similar. I know the camera was marketed in Japan but I believe some units made it to america too. The DV55 is in near pristine condition and is really obscure. Near the lens it has a small metal rectangular piece, which can be pulled out and works both as a viewfinder (!) and is used to open the lid for the batteries. Yes, the battery compartment is stored under the lens hood! The camera uses 8x AA batteries to work(!) So it gives you a rough estimate about how old technology was compared to today. This beauty comes with the extremely rare DV5M Macro Lens Unit! This was a add-on and almost no one bought it. So you won't simply find that one ever again anywhere else. The special bag has slots for batteries, so you could carry the camera and extra batteries along your trips (batteries not included). Despite the camera being totally clean, battery poles totally clean, cosmetically near mint, I can't get the camera to work. Here is what you will get in this package: - KingJim DaVinci DV55 camera - DV5M Macro Lens Unit - THREE new roles of thermal paper DP53 in separate box - KingJim DV5W special bag
