With Lá an Dreoilín, Dingle Distillery presents the crowning final bottling of its Wheel of the Year series – inspired by "Wren's Day", a special Irish holiday that symbolises hope and happiness in the dark season. In keeping with the occasion, the Lá an Dreoilín is a traditional single pot still whiskey, made from a combination of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in traditional copper stills. This process gives it a full-bodied body and a creamy mouthfeel that not only delights lovers of Irish whiskeys. The maturation first takes place in bourbon barrels, which bring aromas of vanilla, caramel and subtle oak. The whiskey is then finished in Muscatel barrels, which add fruity and spicy nuances. The result is a harmonious interplay of spice, fruitiness and fine sweetness, which is fully accentuated by the strong alcohol content of 52.5% vol.
