Full Moon and Autumn Flowers with Box - Ooe Ryoki 大江良起 (b1932) - Japonia (Bez ceny minimalnej )

大江良起 Ooe Ryoki (b1932) Born in Kyoto in 1932. Studied under Kono Bairei and studied the Shijo school. Later specialized in painting beautiful women and mainly painted maiko and geiko. with signature 'Ryoki' 良起 and Seal 'Ooe no in' 大江之印 'Ryoki' 良起 This serene Japanese hanging scroll features a full moon rising over delicate autumn flowers, painted by Ōe Ryōki (1874–?), a Kyoto-based artist trained under Kōno Bairei of the Shijō school. The composition evokes the quiet elegance of mid-autumn evenings, blending natural realism with poetic sentiment. In Japanese aesthetics, the full moon symbolizes wholeness, maturity, and contemplative beauty, while autumn flowers such as susuki (pampas grass), hagi (bush clover), and kikyō (bellflower) represent transience and seasonal grace. Together, they form a classic motif of impermanence and harmony, ideal for display during the autumn months. Ōe Ryōki was known for his bijin-ga and seasonal compositions, often capturing the gentle charm of Kyoto’s cultural life. His works reflect the romantic sensibility of the Taishō era, making this scroll a refined addition to any collection. 大江良起 Ooe Ryoki (b1932) Japanese art kakejiku kakemono wall hanging scroll / Full Moon and Autumn Flowers with Box Whole dimensions: 25.2" W x 68.4" H / 64.1cm x 173.9cm Inside dimensions: 16.6" W x 40.9" H / 42.4cm x 104cm Material: Silk Technique: Handpainted Roller ends: Bone (DAMAGE) Weight: 880g including Box Condition Antique items have originally crease, stain, damage, and more.
