Here is a fantastic quality, pristine and delicate fluorite specimen from Elmwood mine, displaying delightful 'frozen-like' surface texture, gem clear core and contrasting purple outer stripes underlining the polysynthetic edges of the cubic crystal.
Note the inclusions of brassy colour chalcopyrite and interesting blue contact zoning halo, possibly due to local enrichment in trace elements.
Another very interesting feature is the combination with a polysynthetic cube of mirror lustre galena, making for a nice contrast!
