Nicknamed the "Flying Scot", he competed in Formula One between 1965 and 1973, winning three World Championships, and twice finishing as runner-up over those nine seasons. He is regarded by many as one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport. some considers him even the greatest ever! he retired from the sport in 1973 after his good friend and Tyrrell team-mate François Cevert was killed in practice at Watkins Glen. He is the last surviving Formula One World Champion from the 1960s. Together with his son Paul, he also had the Formula One racing team: Stewart Grand Prix. Stewart was also instrumental in improving the safety of motor racing, campaigning for better medical facilities and track improvements at motor racing circuits. This great helmet is original and in very good condition, considering this helmet is more than 50 years old. This fantastic looking helmet also comes with a original period visor and interior. This helmet is exactly as Sir Jackie Steward would have worn when he drove his Tyrell in Formula One during 1970. On top of the helmet, you see the very recognizable Scottish Tartan band of the Stewart clan. The Helmet has all the correct tagging such as a Snell (so the helmet is approved for professional car sports such a Formula One).
