In 1886, Alexander II gave his wife a precious white-enamelled egg which, as a surprise, a ruby-eyed hen contained a golden egg yolk. From then on, these beautiful pieces were ordered from Faberge every year by the Tsar's house. This very special egg was produced in cooperation with Franklin Mint. The stand is made of plastic.
