Beatles – “Where’s John?” – Unique Exhibition Canvas by Bill Zygmant (1968 image, hand-drawn Lennon) – 112 × 88 cm – One-off Description An exceptionally rare one-off exhibition canvas created from Bill Zygmant’s 1968 photograph of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison taken during the promotion for Yellow Submarine. Although all four of the Beatles were present for the premier of the film in 16th July 1968 John was absent from the photo shoot. This famous image includes a cardboard John Lennon figure John Lennon did not make it to the photoshoot on time, so the rest of the Beatles decided to have some fun and replaced John with the Blue Meanie figure from the film. Bill said they were really on form that day and had great fun. The canvas offered here is titled “Where’s John?”, produced as a unique exhibition print for Bill Zygmant’s own gallery shows and Beatles talks. It is not part of any edition and was never sold commercially.
