Rare coffret of an old vintage AOP Rivesaltes 1976 in his wooden case - 16 % vol History Located in the heart of Roussillon between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, the winemaker has been cultivating his vines on clay-limestone soils interspersed with schist and siliceous pebbles since 1895, producing wine in the Aspres region, in the foothills of the Tech River in Roussillon. Vinification and Aging Made from Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris, and Macabeu, this exceptional vintage was vinified according to the tradition of Vins Doux Naturels: mutage sur grains followed by prolonged oxidative aging in oak barrels for over 20 years. This patient maturation results in a rare and timeless wine. Tasting The golden color with copper highlights opens onto a refined nose of bitter orange, dried apricot, and walnut. On the palate, the balance is masterful: full-bodied, smooth, and well-blended, enriched with notes of honeyed tobacco, cut hay, and a hint of lemon on the finish. A true masterpiece. Enjoy at 10–12°C, on its own as an aperitif or digestif, or with foie gras, blue cheeses, or desserts with dried fruit and chocolate. Or to keep as a cellar treasure for 100 years or more.

History

Vinification and Aging
