Elegant antique bar brooch crafted in a refined combination of silver and 12-carat gold (500/1000), a construction technique historically typical of fine European jewellery from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period (circa 1890–1915). The front is executed in silver to enhance the brilliance of the gemstones, while the structure and pin mechanism are made in 12k gold, chosen at the time for its excellent balance between durability, flexibility, and precious metal content. This combination predates the widespread use of platinum and is fully consistent with the period of manufacture. At the centre is set a natural sapphire, oval cut, measuring approximately 7 × 5 mm.
