The legendary label bears the name of Pierre Pérignon, the French Benedictine monk born in 1638 who, according to tradition, "invented" Champagne. The company now belongs to the famous Moët et Chandon brand, which in turn is part of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, the largest industrial luxury group in the world. The production consists exclusively of Champagnes made in exceptional years, using the finest grapes selected from Grand Cru vineyards. Production is currently overseen and led by chef de cellar Vincent Chaperon, who replaced the renowned Richard Geoffroy in 2019.
