Relógio de mesa inglês - Madeira - 1850-1900

Antique German "Lenzkirch" (famous clockmaker Eduard Hauser of Baden) pendulum clock, in Baroque/Rococo style, made of walnut and ormolu fittings, including an urn terminal on top, cherub details, scroll foliate ornaments and quadruple floral cabriole feet. The clock has a domed shape, with a white enameled dial, finished with an enamelled chapter gallery, with an outer gallery for minutes and black steel hour and minute hands. The dial is under a hinged, recessed door, with the original glaze intact. The back of the clock case features a hinged swing door detail, with a perforated Gothic grille with a budding cross. The movement palette inside the clock is made of brass, complete with original pendulum and signed for Lenzkirch, this being from the "1 million" series with relevant serial number. The clock is in a well preserved condition and without damage, but would benefit from a cleaning as it is somewhat dusty from long storage and although fully functional it has not been tested for timekeeping and could benefit from a service. A beautiful and highly collectible clock piece as well as a fantastic antique piece of home decoration. The clock comes with the wall mount Attention it has no key!! for the protection of the clock the balance is removed!
