The map dates approximately from 1850 before the major restructuring of Paris by Baron Haussmann. Very detailed, finely engraved, steel engraving map. Below the main map, drawings of the facades of "most notable Parisian buildings," including Notre-Dame, the Dôme des Invalides, and the Arc de Triomphe illustrate the relative sizes of them.
