A toast to love, passion, and desire!
"Eve and He - the ancient, inexhaustible theme that has inspired poets and visual artists throughout the ages - forms the basis of a photographic sequence born from the imagination of Peter Raba.
The distinctive purity radiated by these images leads, despite all their sensuality, directly into the world of antiquity, whose idealized depictions of the nude human body elevate mankind to a realm close to that of the gods.
This book is a kind of seduction — are you ready to be seduced?"

"Peter Raba, born in 1936 in Murnau, Germany, is a German classical homeopath, author, publisher (Andromeda Verlag), and photographer. The son of the violinist Jost Raba (1900–2000), Peter Raba studied German literature, theatre studies, psychology, and anthropology in Munich from 1957 to 1962. From 1963 to 1968, he worked as an editor and director for the educational television program BR-3 of Bavarian Broadcasting (Bayerischer Rundfunk). Even during his years in television, Raba pursued his own artistic path. In the summer of 1968, the Munich City Museum presented his large-format photographic exhibition *Eva & Er* (“Eve & Him”). The exhibition established Raba as a sought-after photographer, and until 1975 he worked professionally in fashion photography, advertising photography, and magazine cover design. Following a personal illness, Raba began exploring the possibilities of Classical Homeopathy in 1974. In 1976, he passed the examination qualifying him as a licensed naturopathic practitioner (*Heilpraktiker*) and has since maintained a private practice. Magazine cover design in the 1960s and 1970s challenged photographers to visualize complex themes without the aid of digital image processing. Raba developed a distinctive method of double exposure on a single negative or transparency, which he termed *PAN-Optics*. This technique of merging different visual elements into an iconographic ideogram with a new layer of meaning is largely attributed to Peter Raba. For thirty years, Raba conducted seminars and training programs in Classical Homeopathy and dream work throughout Germany. His dream work was based on the psychology of C. G. Jung as well as the Gestalt-therapeutic approaches of Fritz Perls. He concluded his teaching activities at the age of seventy-five. Through his publications, he addresses both professional audiences and interested lay readers. Raba developed a 52-page questionnaire for homeopathic case-taking, comprising approximately 700 individual questions and extensive patient information, which serves as a practical working tool. He describes himself as a “cryptologist of the soul and therapist of causes,” and regards Classical Homeopathy as “a highly artistic method.” “Through his work with the outer images of this world, Raba found the path to the inner images of the soul, within a holistic view of life.” Raba’s publications are typically richly illustrated. He uses photography as a means of expressing themes in homeopathy and psychology through visual imagery. One example is the "Tigerlady" - a double exposure combining half a woman’s face and half a tiger’s face - which symbolizes the hidden dark side of human nature."
