Bronze Age, high quality solid bronze spiral bracelet with a wonderful shape and patina. The bracelet is formed from a thick, flat band coiled into a single turn with overlapping ends which are tapering slightly towards the terminals. -> Bracelets of this type are typical of the Late Bronze to Early Iron Age and were worn both as personal adornment and as symbols of wealth or status, often exchanged as gifts or used in trade. Outside diameter: ± 59,3 mm Very good and solid condition with very appealing smooth olive-green patina. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. Spiral motifs appear in ancient carvings and painted rock art dating back thousands of years The infinite, twisting spiral was a favourite of the ancient Greeks and Celts and has continued to influence artists, thinkers and designers for millennia.
