Cavendish Morton (1911-2015) - Austin Healey 10O-4 on a mountain path

Cavendish Morton (17 February 1911 – 30 January 2015) was a British painter and illustrator, a member of the Norwich Twenty Group.[1][2] A painter in oils and watercolour, he concentrated on marine scenes and landscapes. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and was a member of both the Royal Institute of Painters in Oil and Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. He was exhibited widely in London and throughout East Anglia, with an annual exhibition at the Aldeburgh Festival. He also designed the bodies of various cars, some of which raced at Le Mans. This painting has been in the family for the past 50 plus years and belonged to author Raymond Flower, who also raced and collected cars. He lived in Tuscany most of his life, hence the reason for the painting being in Italy. Dimensions of the canvas are: 27.5cm x 38cm. Frame with glass. Signature is very clear and placed on the bottom left side of the painting.
