A fine ancient Roman iron ring featuring a simple round hoop with a flat oval bezel. The bezel has been engraved with a depiction of Zeus Ammon, facing left. He is draped and bearded, featuring all his typical attributes, including his curled horn and the modius headdress of Serapis surmounting his head. Rendered naturalistically, the god's facial features, including his straight nose, profile eye, beard, and hair, are still visible.
