Longrow 100 Proof Single Malt Batch 2 Release é uma expressão arrojada e com muito carácter de Campbeltown, produzida em quantidades limitadas e maturada em uma combinação de barris de bourbon e vinho tinto. This annual release continues Longrow’s tradition of producing heavily peated whisky with depth, texture and unmistakable coastal influence. The nose opens with an intriguing mix of redcurrants, Madagascan vanilla and cured meats, alongside peppercorns and an immediate ashy note that signals the whisky’s smoky core. O nariz abre com uma mistura intrigante de groselhas vermelhas, baunilha de Madagascar e carnes curadas, ao lado de pimenta em grão e uma nota de fuligem imediata que sinaliza o núcleo defumado do uísque.

The palate builds in intensity as the peat smoke deepens, bringing flavours of tobacco, cigar smoke, dark fruits and worn leather. O paladar ganha intensidade à medida que a fumaça de turfa se aprofunda, trazendo sabores de tabaco, fumaça de charuto, frutos escuros e couro gasto.

The finish is long and assertive, driven by a lively spiciness reminiscent of chilli peppers, supported by cherry menthol and a lingering thread of peat smoke that carries through to the very end. The very smoky Longrow Peated is produced at the Springbank distillery and matured in a combination of Bourbon and sherry casks. O Longrow Peated, extremamente defumado, é produzido na destilaria Springbank e maturado em uma combinação de barris de Bourbon e xerez.

The Single Malt is very strong, smoky and intense, making it very similar to its rivals from the nearby island of Islay, although it comes from Campbeltown on the Kintyre peninsula.
