Fired in the Mino tradition, the piece bears the title Miyamaziro (Deep Mountain Path), inscribed on the original wooden box. The form is boldly constructed — a swelling, rounded base in natural ash glaze transitions dramatically upward into a cylindrical neck finished in deep iron-red, the surface alive with coil marks, texture, and kiln atmosphere. Two twisted rope-form handles flank the body, adding sculptural weight. The fitted lid echoes the red-clay upper body with a gnarled knob finish.
