The Akai X-165D, introduced in the early 1970s (circa 1971), is a robust, compact 4-track stereo/monaural reel-to-reel recorder. Thoughtfully engineered and built for performance, it features Akai's proprietary Cross-Field bias head system, delivering playback nuance and fidelity that stands out for its era.
