This is an authentic, original, one-of-a-kind Japanese production cel and drawing, hand-painted and drawn by studio artists and used in the creation of the Berserk (1997) anime series.

As an original production material, this artwork is entirely unique, with no duplicates in existence.

Created for internal studio use during the original production period, this cel is a genuine artifact from the animation process of this iconic and highly influential series.

The cel features Guts in a high-stakes battle moment, just after taking a hit. The intensity of the scene and the character’s dynamic pose highlight the raw energy and emotional weight that define Berserk. The composition is further enhanced by the inclusion of the original genga drawing, offering insight into the animation process from sketch to final painted cel.

The background is a copy. The piece comes with a custom-made frame and mat featuring two openings, allowing both the cel and the genga to be displayed simultaneously.

A Certificate of Authenticity will be included with your purchase.

This item is presented interleaved with MicroChamber paper placed, an archival material used to protect artwork by reducing harmful acids and paint fumes which damage the cel over time. We are currently the only seller in Japan offering anime cels presented this way.

Please note that this is a vintage production item. Despite careful storage, age-appropriate wear such as light handling marks, minor paint wear, or small imperfections may be present. Buyers are strongly encouraged to examine all images carefully prior to bidding.

Condition: Excellent
(The cel remains in excellent condition with strong, vibrant colors and no signs of deterioration. Some residual paper is present on the reverse from previous adhesion to the genga. The genga shows minor paint transfer stains from the cel.)
