Stefano Occhetti's Langhe Nebbiolo 2021 is an expressive and approachable wine from the heart of Piedmont. The grapes come from vineyards in Monteu Roero (Occhetti) and Vezza d’Alba (Sanche), located at an altitude of 260–280 meters on sandy soils. The grapes are harvested by hand in October and undergo spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks with traditional skin maceration for 12–14 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place partly in wood and steel, followed by aging for approximately 7 months in French oak barrels and used barriques. Color Bright ruby ​​red with a light orange hue as it ages. Nose Fresh aromas of violets, roses, and ripe cherries, complemented by subtle hints of spice and a light minerality. Taste Medium-bodied with lively acidity and soft, well-integrated tannins. The palate is harmonious and elegant, with notes of raspberry, cherry, and a hint of spice. The finish is smooth and lingering.
