Medieval Bronze Anel de sinete com pentagrama (Sem preço de reserva)
A genuine medieval signet ring cast in copper alloy, dating to approximately the 14th–15th century AD.
The ring features a circular bezel engraved with a pentagram, formed by intersecting lines and surrounded by a ring of pellets. Such motifs are characteristic of personal signet rings and may represent a stylised merchant’s mark or individual symbol.
The irregular, hand-formed shape of the ring band and the way the bezel is integrated into the hoop are characteristic of medieval signet rings. In this period, geometric motifs—including pentagrams —were commonly used as personal marks and are sometimes interpreted as having a symbolic or protective significance.
Signet rings of this type were used to seal documents or goods in wax, serving as a personal identifier. The simple yet distinctive engraving reflects the widespread use of symbolic and geometric devices in the late medieval period.
The ring has a slightly oval hoop and displays a stable green patina consistent with age and burial.
Condition: Good condition for its age. Surface wear and corrosion consistent with burial; engraving remains visible.
Dimensions: Internal diameter: approx. 17 × 19 mm, Bezel diameter: approx. 11 mm
